Voces Internship of Idaho Announces Exciting Partnership with The Ñ Fund for Latinas in Journalism
Voces Internship of Idaho is proud to announce it is the recipient of The Ñ Fund for Latinas in Journalism’s inaugural grant which will fund one paid internship for Spring 2023. The Ñ Fund’s grant will support a paid internship at BoiseDev for Mariela Esquivel-Rodriguez, a junior at Northwest Nazarene University.

Voces Internship of Idaho offers paid internships to three promising Latino Idahoans
The Spring 2023 interns were selected from a pool of qualified applicants from across Idaho. The Voces advisory council matched interns with newsrooms based on a wide variety of factors, including their journalism interests, newsroom preferences and skill level.

$36,000 grant awarded to Voces Internship of Idaho
Scripps Howard Fund, the philanthropic arm of one of the nation’s oldest and largest media companies — E.W Scripps Company — has awarded a $36,000 grant to Voces Internship of Idaho to continue providing paid internship opportunities to Idaho’s Latinx college students who wish to pursue a career in journalism.

Idaho journalists launch Latino-focused internship program
Two former Idaho journalists, Nicole Foy and Ximena Bustillo, in partnership with the Idaho Press Club, Boise nonprofit Surel’s Place and local Latino leaders, launched Voces Internship of Idaho, an equity-driven internship program for Latino Idahoans.
